U.S. 19 Collision Takes Life of UAW Retirees Long Time Leader

979101_tampa_crosstown_freeway_.jpgHoliday, Florida – The chair of the west Pasco UAW retirees was killed Monday afternoon in an auto accident on U.S. 19.

The 75-year-old man was driving south on U.S. 19 around 3:40 p.m. when he made a left turn and collided with a Ford Ranger. The crash caused the man’s car to exit the road and slam into a power pole.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

The 39-year-old driver of the Ford Ranger suffered minor injuries, but did not go to the hospital.
