An impaired wrong-way driver ran one motorist off the road before colliding with a barrier wall on I-75 near State Road 52 just after midnight on Friday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the 27-year-old of Alabama was driving northbound in the southbound lane and almost hit a Mercury Milan.
The 19-year-old female driver tried to get out of the way and collided into the guardrail.
Troopers said the man continued driving and approached another vehicle. He tried to avoid hitting the second vehicle and ended up crashing into a concrete barrier wall.
After crashing, the man tried to take off running, but troopers were able to catch him. They said he had a BAC of 0.341 following his arrest.
The man faces charges for leaving the scene of a crash, driving in the wrong direction, and DUI.
