A 46-year-old New Port Richey motorcyclist passed away shortly after being hospitalized following a traffic crash on State Road 54 last month.
Troopers claim the man was travelling eastbound on a 1999 Harley-Davidson Sportster west of Gunn Highway around 5:30 p.m. when he attempted to change lanes and crashed into the center concrete median.
He was ejected from the motorcycle onto the westbound lanes of SR 54.
He was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and later transferred to a hospice center, where he died a short time later.
